Peninsula Link will be delivered toll-free as an Availability Public Private Partnership (PPP). Under this model, Southern Way will finance, build, design, operate and maintain the freeway for 25 years. During the design and construction phase of the project three projects partners have responsibility for delivering Peninsula Link.
Linking Melbourne Authority
Linking Melbourne Authority (LMA), previously the Southern and Eastern Integrated Authority (SEITA), is the State Government authority responsible for managing the delivery of the project on behalf of the State.
Southern Way
Southern Way harnesses the strengths of Abigroup and Lend Lease to design, construct and maintain Peninsula Link.
- Abigroup will design and construct Peninsula Link.
- Lend Lease will operate and maintain Peninsula Link for the duration of the contract.
Southern Way is backed by fully underwritten financing from debt and equity parties, all of whom are experienced in the analysis, evaluation, ownership, management and delivery of Public Private Partnership Projects.
