Project Overview

Peninsula Link is a 27 kilometre road link between EastLink at Carrum Downs and the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Mount Martha. The $759 million project will bring many benefits to people living, working and visiting Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula. Peninsula Link will save people time with a full trip between Mt Martha and Carrum Downs taking just 17 minutes – a saving of up to 40 minutes in peak periods.  Use Linking Melbourne Authority's travel time calculator to find out travel times for Peninsula Link

The Southern Way consortium will finance, design, build, maintain and operate the freeway.  Peninsula Link will be delivered toll-free as an Availability Public Private Partnership (PPP). Under this model, Southern Way will finance, build, design, operate and maintain the freeway for 25 years. Visit Partnerships Victoria for more information on Availability Public Private Partnership.

Peninsula Link will be completed and open to motorists in early 2013.
